Analyst – Account Receivable
PURPOSE
Be part of a dynamic team and play an active role in the receivables management process! The person will be called to conduct analyses, make recommendations and follow or introduce best practices into the internal process.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Strategic collection (written & oral) of major accounts.
• Document daily collection activity, follow up, strategize, and execute accordingly.
• Categorize and validate client claims from different sources.
• Authenticate client claim with pre-established sales programs and/or special agreements, and act as a liaison between the different departments.
• Monitor the claims process by ensuring that internal policies are followed: provide all the required documentation, signoffs, and approvals.
• Research and follow up of account disputes and billing discrepancies.
• Perform account payment reconciliations as required
• Identify risk accounts in portfolio, take initiative to mitigate those risks and escalate problematic accounts to the Sr Global Credit Manager, and/ or make recommendations for external collection efforts.
• Monthly reporting files relating to major accounts.
• Other ad-hoc reporting and/or projects.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
• 2-5 years of experience in the field of credit and collection
• DEC in Business Administration (Finance) or equivalent experience
• Experience in claims processing in the manufacturing or distribution field
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work autonomously
• Strong negotiating abilities
• Team player
• Bilingual (French and English)
• Knowledge of FIS Global's Getpaid and Billtrust (asset)
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
