Gamma is a leading supplier of Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS). We provide voice, data, and mobile products and services to the UK, German, Spanish, and Benelux business markets.

Gamma is expanding its UCaaS presence in Europe with a family of businesses focusing on digital automation, delivering Gamma-powered services to SME customers via a network of channel partners in Germany, Spain, and the Benelux region.

We’re looking for a keen, dynamic 1st Line IT Administrator to join us here at Gamma. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our desktop environment. This is an entry-level role with the opportunity to grow within the internal team.

What will you be doing day-to-day? πŸ’»

  • Responding to Incidents and Requests logged in the service desk tool
  • Taking phone calls and digital contacts through the customer contact system
  • Managing the desktop environment
  • Installing, configuring, updating, and maintaining Windows 10 laptops
  • Installing, configuring, updating, and maintaining applications on Windows 10 laptops
  • Utilizing Microsoft Intune to manage laptops and mobile devices
  • Working closely with IT and security teams to respond to security incidents and threats
  • Managing office-based services such as wireless access points, printing, and audio-visual display technologies
  • Learning about new technologies and making proposals to the Service Desk Supervisors and Manager
  • Helping maintain Microsoft Active Directory and group policy for the laptop estate
  • Escalating and resolving issues with external 3rd party suppliers
  • Assisting and participating in IT and other department projects as requested

What you’ll need πŸš€

  • GCSE Grade C or above in English, Maths, and Science or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience administering mobile device management platforms
  • Knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Products including Office 365, Active Directory and Exchange, Windows 10 onwards, networking, and connectivity
  • Good working knowledge of maintaining current IT hardware, laptops, desktops, and peripherals
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Working knowledge of wired and wireless networking
  • Understanding of corporate IT environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adjust behaviour and language as appropriate to the needs of differing situations
  • Able to manage time and work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Able to manage the demands of numerous tasks
  • Able to work on own initiative and effectively in partnership with others
  • Self-motivator and able to motivate others
  • Diplomatic when faced with issues
  • Able to work autonomously inside known/pre-existing situations
  • Desirable: ITIL (or equivalent) qualification, recent Azure certification, Microsoft Certification (Active Directory, Windows Desktop, Office 365/Azure), ITIL Foundation v3/v4, experience of virtual hosted environments (VMware, etc.), PowerShell and scripting
