Store & Rations Manager


Reporting To General Manager

Location: Oxford Mini Plant


Key Result Areas Full profit and loss accountability for stock, vending and any other services. Business Planning accountability.
Client and customer satisfaction measured standards of delivery and direct feedback such as complaint and
compliment ratios. Compliance with all Company policies and procedures and legislation including health and
safety, risk assessment and internal and external compliance. Stock and systems management including
availability, shrinkage control and security.

Main Duties
• To have a full knowledge of all areas to be covered in the course of your duty.
• To manage the allocation, cleanliness and maintenance of the facility.
• To apply the Quality Procedures of the company in achieving consumer satisfaction.
• To manage stock to include ordering, security, accounting, stock condition, wastage, stock
taking and availability whilst working within the Company’s stock holding level.
• To maintain, order and control consumable and non-consumable stocks as appropriate.
• To carry out on the job training .
• To comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act, Food Safety and COSHH regulations.
• To maintain and manage all Company Procedures.
• To ensure that the Unit achieves its financial targets to include GPs .
• To manage the security of the Unit to include closedown procedures.
• To ensure that all invoices are input into the InSight, P2P in a timely manner
• To ensure that conduct within the Unit is professional at all times.
• To monitor work and hygiene standards to include recorded management checks..
• To liaise with the GM with building inspections, report defects / faults as laid by the
authority and ensure that the GM is made aware of any defects that may affect Health and
Safety or service delivery..
• Control correct storage of food stuffs and ensure accurate stock reporting procedures are
maintained to strict adherence to the accounting calendar
• Transfer of stocks to be accurate and within correct period and to correct units, monitoring
Temp controls and all SSOW policies in line with Elior and BMW procedures
• Maintain cleaning stocks and personal protective equipment ensuring economic usage.
• Monitor cleaning cupboards for correct presentation and safe practise.
• To ensure that stock accounts are not closed without all variance being investigated and
corrected
• To maintain all company documentation accurately.
• To meet all deadlines set by the Site Manager.
• To continue to develop one’s own skills and knowledge within the position.
• To work on the shop floor as required.
• To undertake any reasonable task as detailed by the Manager

Qualifications


Experience & Skills
Customer Focused, ability to communicate, be smart and have an efficient manner, the ability to
drive and improve services with the stock across site, manage and solve problems. To have the
ability to work without supervision. Have a keen sense of responsibility, attention to detail and be IT
proficient.
Communication from ▪ Contract Director, General Manager, Deputy Manager, Executive Chef, Head Chef, Finance
Controller
Constraints ▪ All overtime must be authorised. No new suppliers may be used without authorisation. You do
not have the authority to terminate employment. All complaints must be recorded on the General
Manager and all complaints in writing must be replied to in writing this shall be dealt with by the
General Manager.
