As the Reception Manager at 20 Old Bailey, a fully corporate building housing six high-profile companies, you will oversee all aspects of front-of-house operations. You will ensure the highest standards of customer service, manage 2 receptionists, and support building management in key initiatives, events, and community engagement. Your role will be crucial in maintaining a professional and welcoming environment while continuously improving front-of-house services.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver a customer-focused reception service, ensuring all visitors and tenants receive a warm and professional welcome.
  • Supervise and develop the front-of-house team, providing ongoing training, guidance, and performance management.
  • Ensure the reception area is always presentable, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
  • Monitor and manage the reception rota, ensuring adequate cover, booking planned absences, and arranging overtime when required.
  • Conduct appraisals and performance reviews with the team, holding regular one-on-one and team meetings.
  • Lead and participate in weekly management meetings with building management to discuss operational plans and tenant engagement strategies.
  • Coordinate and supervise pop-up events and tenant engagement initiatives, sourcing local businesses and managing logistics.
  • Oversee the social media presence for the building, particularly Instagram, utilizing Canva for content creation.
  • Handle visitor check-ins and security procedures, ensuring all guests are logged in the Building Management System (BMS).
  • Liaise with the loading bay for deliveries and parking space bookings for occupiers.
  • Assist with meeting room viewings and bookings, coordinating with building tenants and security.
  • Respond to incoming calls and emails, ensuring all queries are handled professionally and efficiently.
  • Support with administrative duties, including printing, laminating, poster creation, and report generation.
  • Ensure Health & Safety standards are maintained in compliance with company policies.
  • Manage internships for students with learning difficulties, providing support and guidance in their development.
  • Required Skills & Experience:
  • Strong background in customer service and team leadership within a corporate environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with high-profile tenants and key stakeholders.
  • Proactive, with the ability to problem-solve and take initiative in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with building management, security, and other key departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Canva, and the Building Management System (BMS).
  • Experience in event coordination and social media management is desirable.

Working Pattern: 

  • Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm or 8:30 am - 5:30pm)
  • 40 hours p/w
