Gamma is a leading supplier of Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS): we provide voice, data and mobile products and services to the UK, German, Spanish and Benelux business markets.
Gamma is expanding its UCaaS presence in Europe with a family of businesses focusing on digital automation, delivering Gamma-powered services to SME customers via a network of channel partners in Germany, Spain, and the Benelux region.
What will you be doing day-to-day? 📞
To offer tactical and strategic commercial insight and analysis to the business as a key point of Commercial contact for Gamma sales, product, and billing and pricing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business partnering with the sales team to review commercial incentives, both standard and bespoke, paying close attention to margin analysis and the overall risk vs reward position.
- Analysis of price change impact, contributing ideas helping to shape Gamma’s pricing strategy and providing insight on the profitability of multiple commercial proposals.
- Liaise with the Procurement team to ensure Gamma’s reported cost base is kept up to date and accurate.
- Overseeing the running of various monthly tasks, including, but not limited to, logging new deals that have been signed, calculating the output of such deals, communicating this outcome to the sales team, and raising the relevant credits/invoices.
- Improvement and interrogation of existing Commercial Team processes, working to improve them for greater efficiency and minimising risk.
- Encourage Commercial best practice sharing with the wider business and finance community.
What you’ll need 🚀
- A professional accounting qualification (CIMA preferred)
- A minimum of three years of experience in a Commercial focused role (ideally in telecoms/software though this is not a necessity).
- High level of proficiency in Excel.
- SQL knowledge is a benefit, but not essential.
- A good understanding of data analysis but will enjoy drawing conclusions from the data more than the construction of the dataset itself.
- A demonstrable aptitude for pragmatic yet critical commercial thinking, the ability to challenge convention in pursuit of a data-driven empirical result.
- Confidence in yourself and your abilities but willing to listen to your nagging doubts when things don’t ‘feel’ right.
- A good level of numeracy and analytical mindset with a critical eye for detail whilst retaining the ability to see the big picture.
- A proven track record of challenging existing processes, ideas and attitudes whilst offering viable alternative solutions to the underlying problem.
- A proven verbal and written communicator who can measure the requirements of different audiences and adapts their communication style accordingly.
