Digital Content Writer

We are seeking an experienced Digital Content Writer to join our dynamic eCommerce team.

In this role, you will create engaging and best-in-class copy for our new product launches that supports the online user journey, ensuring alignment with our SEO best practices. You will be adaptable and able to tackle different types of copy as required from creating product descriptions for new lines to optimising legacy products, long-form content to emails and more.

The role will have Hybrid working (after a period of training), consisting of 3 days in the Avonmouth office and 2 days working from home.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Content Creation: Develop comprehensive product descriptions to established deadlines and aligned with Nisbets’ best practice. Create content for long-form pages, email campaigns, homepage banners, and printed publications as required.
  • SEO Optimisation: Ensure all product copy and specifications are fully optimised according to SEO best practices.
  • Performance Analysis: Utilise digital tools such as Adobe and Brightedge to analyse content performance and optimize the user journey.
  • Website Management: Manage ad-hoc changes to the website.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with key stakeholders in the Merchandising, Marketing, and Commercial teams to drive targeted results across categories.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor and record progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders.

Capabilities, Skills, and Experience Required:

Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrable copywriting experience (B2B experience is advantageous).
  • Ability to adapt content for different audiences and types.
  • Working knowledge of SEO.
  • Ability to analyse data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and stay informed about product innovations and range development opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to the broader team.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills across various teams and stakeholders.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with SEO platforms such as Conductor and Brightedge.
  • Experience in video script writing.
  • Analytics experience with tools such as Adobe, Google Analytics, and Glassbox.
