Quality Assurance Test Analyst

We are looking for a dedicated and efficient QA Analyst to join a team of multi-skilled digital professionals.

This will be a Hybrid role 3 days a week in our Avonmouth Office and 2 days working from home.

Our ideal candidate has at least 3 years of test experience within an Agile, SCRUM or DevOps environment with a strong understanding of TDD, BDD or XP methodologies with a determined approach to chasing down defects, delivering quality products and an excellent user experience Our ideal candidate will be highly competent within their current QA career with aspirations to further shape and improve current processes deploying best practice.

They with be reporting to our Web Technical Services Manager, and will collaborate with the broader development team including our external Systems Integrator as an incorporated unit providing manual testing and look to drive high standards for all deliveries, cultivating an environment of quality and encouraging others to consider it at all stages

They will be responsible for maintaining and exceeding high standards when detecting bugs and errors, and effectively managing any bugs they may find, communicating them to their teammates and working hard to resolve them. Creating and executing test documentation, providing exploratory testing whilst collaborating with developers as well as stakeholders and keeping up to date with the market so they can apply their findings and improve the team knowledge.

Capabilities, Skills and Experience Required

  • 3 years+ experience with Agile delivery – SCRUM and DevOps
  • ISEB, ISTQB qualification or suitable alternative
  • Strong communication skillset in writing and managing test documentation with capability to explain complex problems to colleagues
  • Exposure of, but not limited to, Selenium and Gherkin
  • Familiarity with modern testing techniques such as BDD, TDD and XP
  • Familiarity or a strong desire to learn automated testing tools
  • Detailed knowledge of the software development life cycle
  • Demonstrable experience working in an agile environment
  • Working knowledge of the following (nice to have): Jira, Hybris, Virtuoso, Cucumber, FitNesse, Selenium, SpecFlow, Quicktest Pro.
