Nisbets are excited to be recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Team Leader to join the Finance team, The need for the role has come about to provide support to the Purchase Ledger Manager as the business expands. As the Purchase Ledger Team Leader you will provide this support by coordinating tasks within the team, monitoring Purchase Ledger KPI`s and ensuring the smooth running of the purchase ledger department. The perfect candidate will come from a purchase ledger department and be AAT qualified, they will also have experience of managing a team.
Hybrid working will be allowed after a period of training, 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
Key Accountabilities
- Direct and administer the day-to-day activities. Ensure deadlines are met with high levels of accuracy and excellent customer service standards.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Promote a positive team environment and coach colleagues to enable empowerment and development.
- Responsible for daily management of team members including regular 1-1s, team meetings, personal development and any people-related matters.
- Responsible for producing regular and ad-hoc reporting
- Resolution of complex queries and problems
- Manages the close of month end.
- Works with Financial Accountants to create cash flow.
- Works alongside the Cashiers and any other Finance department to resolve any queries.
- Supports Ireland’s Purchase Ledger requirements.
- Deputise for Purchase Ledger Manager on assigned tasks in their absence.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and drive change initiatives in assigned areas, including involvement in company projects supporting the Purchase Ledger Manager.
Capabilities, Skills and Experience Required
- Significant experience of working in a Purchase Ledger function
- Experience operating as a Team Leader in a similar environment
- AAT qualified (Required)
- Able to communicate with all levels of the business and have experience in this
- Excellent level of computer literacy especially Microsoft word & excel
- GCSE Maths & English (required)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- A team player
