Software Integrations Developer
We are currently seeking a Software Integrations Developer to join the fantastic team here at Nisbets. Our IT team are passionate about what they do, and we are looking for a like-minded individual to join us, The role currently offers a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 working from home.
As a Developer in Nisbets, the focus of your role will be to work closely with stakeholders to understand their business requirements and deliver solutions that help integrate various systems, applications, and databases enhancing overall system functionality and efficiency.
This role requires the ability to ensure that deliverables are completed to specification, and within agreed timescales. This is a fast-paced and varied role, requiring excellent communication and time-management skills as well as a solid skillset in Azure and C# development.
Key Accountabilities:
- Design and build cloud-based applications using C# and Azure platform services.
- Create and manage cloud resources, including security aspects, app service environments, and database instances.
- Develop, update, and maintain high-quality, reliable, and robust applications that adhere to cloud development best practices.
- Work closely with other team members to ensure the smooth integration of applications into existing systems and environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, network, and security issues in the cloud environment.
- Write automated tests for unit, integration, and functional tests.
- Deploy applications, configure services, and monitor and troubleshoot in Azure environments.
- Perform limited support and maintenance activities for on-premise C# applications.
- Ensure compliance with data security standards and regulations.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest Azure services.
Capabilities, Skills, and Experience Required:
- Proven experience as an Azure C# .Net Developer, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends.
- Experience with Azure CI/CD Pipelines and Azure Logic Apps.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in SQL and experience with querying databases (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).
- Experience of working within agile development environments, and working knowledge of agile software development methodologies and frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Analytical thinker/problem solver.
- Ability to manage time and prioritise workloads based on urgency and importance with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to see through complicated issues to resolution.
- Ability to communicate effectively and politely with colleagues and partners through multiple communication methods (e.g., electronic or face-to-face)
