National Account Manager
We are seeking a dynamic Account Manager to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for visiting and presenting the Nisbets range to large potential spend national account groups. The role focuses on accounts where visits will yield the greatest benefit and financial return.
This role will be a remote field-based role, however from time to time there will be a requirement to visit our Avonmouth Office.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage an allocated book of Key Account customers.
- Conduct at least six face-to-face meetings per week with key decision-makers.
- Achieve revenue and margin targets for both the account book and the sector as a whole.
- Support the line manager in achieving sector sales and margin targets.
- Identify gaps within customer spend to drive share of wallet growth.
- Focus on profitable growth, promoting light equipment opportunities wherever possible.
- Identify new business opportunities and work with the new business and commercial teams to secure and grow.
- Form strong relationships with all key departments across the business.
- Secure customer business by agreeing on contractual terms.
- Work closely with internal support and BDM teams to ensure quotations are priced correctly and followed up with SLA to improve conversion.
- Maintain debt levels on the account book within targeted levels.
- Maximise new business revenue in the first 3 months of onboarding, as agreed with the Sector Manager.
- Achieve daily contact rate as set by the Sector Manager.
Capabilities, Skills, and Experience Required
- Must hold a valid UK driving licence.
- Familiarity or experience in the catering equipment industry.
- Excellent commercial acumen.
- Strong organisation and planning skills.
- Ability to communicate and build relationships with suppliers and key internal contacts.
- Personable and welcoming attitude.
- Collaborative and solution-based approach to complex and difficult situations.
- Excellent presentation skills, both to internal and external audiences.
- Ability to embrace Nisbets values, objectives, and ethos.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
