Operations Team Member - Double Days

Overview of Role:

As a key member of the operational function, this role, has a responsibility to ensure that the products manufactured are to the required safety and quality standards. The team member must ensure that they operate to the site standards, as per training, whilst ensuring that all equipment and production areas are up to the correct standards, including being good condition, without damage, clean, tidy, and suitable for safe operation. The team member is required to proactively participate in team meetings to understand and contribute to achieving shift targets and ensure that they raise any operational issues, including health and safety, quality, and training concerns, for resolution. They must embrace the two principles, which are to offer only the finest products and continually challenge the status quo.

 

Responsibility

The team member will be responsible a variety of processes, including:

  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and site rules including covid measures.
  • The completion and accurate documentation of all pre-start checks and safety checks throughout the shift.
  • Support quality improvement projects to improve processes, products, and quality standards.
  • Proactively participate in team meetings to understand daily priorities to achieve targets such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness & Conformance to Plan.
  • Improve the cost of poor quality, by improving Right First Time and reducing rework and write off costs.
  • Support the delivery of the production plan to deliver products to both internal and external customers and meet customer service. Key Performance Indicators, in line with training, Health & Safety and quality procedures.
  • Challenge appropriately by highlighting issues and working together to meet daily targets and challenging the status quo.
  • Completion of operational maintenance tasks.
