Role: Cook and Resident Support
Location: Weston-Super-Mare
Contract: 16 hrs/week
Shift Pattern:
- Week 1: Thursday, Friday (09:00 - 18:00)
- Week 2: Saturday, Sunday (09:00 - 18:00)
Pay Rate: £12.58 - £12.85 per hour
The Abbeyfield Society is a national charity dedicated to alleviating loneliness and isolation among older people by offering companionship in our supported housing, retirement apartments, and care homes.
Abbeyfield is seeking a dedicated Cook and Resident Support team member who can make a real difference in the lives of our residents.
What We're Looking For:
- Confidence in cooking meals for up to 14 people
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle various tasks calmly
- A passion for providing excellent customer service, especially to older people
- Basic computer skills (Outlook and Excel experience is a bonus, but training will be provided)

Requirements:
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Two satisfactory employment references
- A Standard DBS check (paid for by Abbeyfield) You may be asked to provide details regarding convictions; failure to disclose convictions may result in an offer of employment being revoked.
