Job Title: General Housing Assistant – Domestic
Location: Sunderland
Contract Type: Permanent, 24 hours per week
Work Pattern:

  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday (11:30 AM – 5:30 PM)
  • Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM)

Hourly rate: £11.44-£11.55

Role Overview

As a General Housing Assistant, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Cleaning and maintaining communal areas, including surfaces, vacuuming, and dusting.
  • Managing and replenishing cleaning supplies and ensuring equipment is secure.
  • Reporting maintenance issues promptly.
  • Complying with COSHH regulations and maintaining records as required.
  • Assisting with food preparation and serving.
  • Attending staff meetings and training sessions for ongoing development.
