Role: Cook and Resident Support
Location: Newport, IOW

Rota: 09:00 - 14:00 Alternating Saturday and Sunday

Pay Rate: £12.58 - £12.85 

 

 

Abbeyfield are looking for someone that has the following skills.

 

  • Can confidentially cook for up to 9 people.
  • Available for alternating weekends (overtime will be available)
  • Organised and is ready to deal with whatever comes their way
  • Understands the importance of great customer service and the needs of older people
  • Basic computer skills (experience with Outlook and excel is beneficial, training will be given with additional systems)

About the role

You will ensure the wellbeing and safety of our residents, being the first port of call for our residents to report any issues they may have, to investigate and escalate where necessary. Budget management and basic computer skills would be an advantage, however full support and training will be given by our friendly and supportive staff.

 

Please note this role will require eligibility to work in the UK, two satisfactory employment references and a Standard DBS check, the cost of which will be met by Abbeyfield. You may be asked to provide details regarding convictions; failure to disclose convictions may result in an offer of employment being revoked.
