Housekeeper

Situated in the cultural suburb of New Malden and surrounded by areas of natural beauty, easy access to public transport links and a bustling high street nearby, Abbeyfield House is a purpose built Dementia Care Home. We offered tailored and personalised packages of care, 24 hours a day to up to 36 residents at any one time. Each resident will have a beautifully furnished ensuite room, with a spacious, sensory garden and communal areas to enjoy. 

The role:

This role is based on a 21 hour per week contract. Shift times are 8am-3pm, over 3 days and will include some weekend work.

Starting hourly rate of pay: £12.15.

As one of our valued Housekeepers, you’re at the front line of care. We’re passionate about creating a lovely environment for our residents to enjoy. So you’ll help us keep our home clean and tidy for our residents and welcome our many visitors. 

Every resident should enjoy a tidy and well maintained environment and clean laundry. Your role is key to this.

As a Housekeeper at Abbeyfield House, you will work within the cleaning and housekeeping schedules as set by the Home Manager or Housekeeping Manager. This varied role may include cleaning of the residents’ bedrooms, self-contained flats, the communal areas and offices. By keeping all kitchen and store areas clean, and following all hygienic practices you help protect our residents and keep them safe. This role will also include working within our laundry, ensuring residents clothes are kept fresh and clean.
